Miss Pamela….you are without a doubt the hippest chick ever!! I just read your book, but thats because I just found out about it. I actually read about it in another book called White Girl Problems(reall good)but this one really touched home for me, as I am a free spirit as well : ) reminds me of Almost Famous, and Penny Lane was so much like you right?? Thank you so much to sharing your awesome stories with us and I am looking foward to reading the others.
I still have my yellowing paperback “I’m With The Band” circa 1987, today I ordered a new copy and your sequel from Amazon. So glad I found you today-thank you and rock on!

Miss Pamela: Thank you for answering my post. You made my year. I have been a serious fan since I was in high school in the 80′s. You have lived,seen and done everything I dreamed about doing. I wanted to be you when I grew up. I’m in my 40′s now and I still want to be you when I grow up.You have some mad writing skills. Youmake a person feel like they are there with you, going thru it. I just started their second book and can’t stop reading it. I hope to take one of your Skype writing workshops one day when I have the money. I bow down to you oh great one. As long as you keep writing the books, I’ll keep reading them. Much Peace and love
I first read “I’m With The Band” when I was 16, and already dreaming about someday landing a musician of my own. 18 years later, I finally did….and became a musician in my own right along the way (something I’m quite proud of, I must say)! I’ve been a big fan ever since I read “Band”, Miss P. It’s sisters like you -proud, unashamed worshippers of the music and those that create it- that make me feel me feel so proud to be one myself. Thank you for everything that you do!

Okay Miss.P I need to get the hell out of Orange County and see the world. I came to that realazation when reading (Let’s Spend the Night Together) I need to go to some rock shows and i really need to meet you one day! It is 4 sure on my bucket list that ans kissing Jim Morrisons grave. I LOVE you !!! Stay lovely!!!!

i read your book about 20 years ago and i am still a huge fan…i think you were a huge influence and still are, as a young girl back in the 80s, i looked up at you as someone who did what she did and was not ashamed…rock on!BTW, i am now 40!
I am madly in love w/John Paul White of the Civil Wars….to me, he looks like the impossible love child of Johnny Depp and Jack White. Good thing my husband also resembles him!
